Dramaturgy
I love to work with new writing – not just my own, but also supporting other writers to clarify, deepen, structure, and refine their stories.
I spend a lot of time thinking about what makes plays and musicals work, whether they follow established storytelling traditions or take a more experimental form.
My approach is centred on the writer’s aims, and how you want to connect with your audience. My role as a dramaturg is to ask the right questions so that you can find the answers you’re looking for.
Let’s Work Together
I can offer a live conversation about an early show concept, feedback on a finished draft, or even participation in a rehearsal or devising process, depending on where you are in the creation of your piece.
I use a sliding scale for my rates, for projects with and without funding. If you’d like to include dramaturgy in your funding application, please get in touch for a quote. I can’t wait to hear your story!
